Hallows Eve devlog!


Welcome back flames!


This is another update on rekindled and it's development. First things first one of the biggest gameplay changes. Felis, or more-so his shop. 

Shown above is a picture of his shop in the room editor, which the room editor and his actual shop object are work in progresses (with the room editor having no blank tile so the floor of his shop is obscured...) Felis' personality can be described as an "acquired taste" but the less said about that until you actually get to meet him the better.

To incentivize combat his shop will show up around every 5-10 floors, you will trade with him through souls you collect by defeating enemies and going through floors. He will sell you new weapons, upgrades, and more...


So back to that room editor.

It is a full featured level editor, with the ability to create rooms for use in random generation. 

Shown here is a recreation of wolfenstein 3d's E1M1 within the editor, the objects shown are ones with code inside of the game.
This editor will be fully available to players so custom levels challenges and rooms will be allowed day 1.

Now there are a few things I have implemented I am purposefully hiding (like weapon variety) but I hope this is enough for a small hallows eve update.
